Using plastic material for a washtub can be beneficial in many ways. In the first place, it will reduce the cost of manufacturing and servicing. In addition, it also provides for better performance. In fact, it can be said that using plastic materials in the design and construction of a washing machine has led to a new class of washing machines that are lighter, more durable, and safer to use.
The plastic material used in the design of a wash tub for a front-loading clothes washing machine is preferably made using injection molding. This process is a comparatively new method of manufacturing machines. The resulting washtub is substantially cylindrical in shape. It has a rear wall that includes an integral hub. This hub is used to carry a shaft that brings water to the wash tub and dispenses the washing liquid. It is also equipped with a bracket that helps to fix the wash tub to the machine casing.
The rear wall of the wash tub is also equipped with an annular stiffening rib that has seats for the locking suspension members that keep the wash tub in place. The front of the tub is also provided with three circular apertures that can be used to attach a discharge conduit to the washing liquid. In addition, the ring-shaped rear wall of the wash tub can be fixed with ballast material to reduce the overall weight of the machine.
Aside from the aforementioned elements, the tub also includes a water pump that works to circulate water throughout the machine. This pump is located near the water inlet point and rotates in both directions to ensure that the water is continuously circulating through the washing machine. It also has a valve that lets the water clean into the drums. Lastly, the tub is equipped with a sleeve that holds a rotatable drum. The ring-shaped sleeve is made from a plastic material that is bonded to the drum for extra strength.
Another noteworthy component of the washing machine is the water inlet control valve that is located near the water inlet point. This valve is designed to automatically open and close when the machine is loaded with clothes. Moreover, the washing machine also incorporates a thermostatic switch that can sense the temperature of the washing liquid. The washer also includes an impeller which is a cone or disc that rubs clothes against each other to break up the soil. The impeller is also equipped with fins that help to keep the clothes tumbling inside the drum.
The plastic body washing machine is also equipped with a balance ring which is a large weight that keeps the washing machine from walking. This ring is made of plastic and weighs more than twenty pounds. It is also the biggest weight in the washing machine and is used to help stabilize the machine. It also has cement that was added to it to help make it stronger.
