Washing Machine Encyclopedia

Date:2022-10-10
Washing machine refers to a machine used to wash clothes and towels and other textiles. Washing machines generally refer to machines that use "water" as the main cleaning medium, which is different from dry-cleaning machines that use special cleaning solvents for dry cleaning. Electric washing machines are equipped with a motor. Early electric washing machines used a mechanical time knob to control the running time of the motor and perform washing, water passing and dehydration procedures. At present, most washing machines have built-in microcomputers or single-chip microcomputers (single chip in Taiwan). After the user inputs the required washing mode from the panel, the washing machine will adjust the required water level and calculate the washing time according to the weight of the clothes, and automatically complete each washing program. In recent years, some models of washing machines use direct-drive inverter motors to provide rotation power, claiming to be quieter and more durable than traditional motors. In addition to the most basic washing function, most washing machines also have a dehydration function, which uses high-speed rotation to generate centrifugal force to separate moisture from the clothes. However, the dehydration function can only shorten the drying time and cannot make the clothes ready for wear. Therefore, some washing machines are also equipped with a clothes drying function that can dry the clothes. This type of washing machine with the drying function is called " Washing and drying machine" or "washing out". Although the washing capacity of the washing machine is limited by the capacity of the washing tub, the maximum washing capacity of most washing machines is calculated by weight and indicated in kilograms. In addition, if the washing machine is equipped with a drying function, the maximum dry laundry weight provided by most models is less than the maximum laundry weight, generally about half to two-thirds of the maximum laundry weight. Washing machines have now become the main household appliances and the main white goods.
